In a recent interview Rafael Edward Cruz (who calls himself “Ted”) an American politician currently running for 2016 Presidential Election remarked that Iraq was a much better place with Saddam Hussein in place. It seems fairly obvious statement looking at the horrendeous mess that Iraq has become since the American ‘operation democracy’ war which started over ten years ago now. Anecdotally I have spoken to many people from the Middle East who have personally expressed a strong belief that their countries were much ‘better’ places with strong dictators in charge.
